Matthew Barney in 2022. She was an advisor on the feature film What’s Safe, What’s Gross, What’s Selfish and What’s Stupid, Dir. Jasmine Johnson, which premiered at BFI Flare 2024.

Her work with musicians includes the performance film The Edge of What, with Lonnie Holley in 2022 and music promos for bands including Gold Panda and Dry Cleaning. She is currently working with the Oscar Award winning film composer Volker Bertelmann / Hauschka on a series of short films in 2024.

Tilly’s film and video works often create space for improvisation, conversation and performance, where overlooked voices are given a reason to speak and be heard. From the undead Beethoven, to teenagers in Essex, her Indian grandmother, a heart surgeon, a baker, a neurodiverse ’marshman’, a city farmer, an iconic musician – she embraces the mess of human nature, the complexities, contradictions and humour found in contemporary Britain.
